One finds a kitchen stocked with a large selection of food / drinks / wines upon arrival. Your fridge has been filled with all the items one can imagine. A variety of freshly baked bread will be waiting for you in the hallway when you wake up in the morning. Several large flower bouquets and orchid plants make a warm atmosphere and if you want to warm up even more: light the fireplace since there’s plenty of firewood around. Enjoy unobtrusive views on the (Vondel) park and nearby famous Leidseplein, the square where cafes and restaurants get together.
Views especially from the roof terrace: Amsterdam 360 degrees around. The penthouse’s location is the best one can think of since it’s located at the city’s prestigious “Museumquarter” area. The old city centre with its romantic canals can be entered within minutes of walking. The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Contemporary Art Museum and the famous Concert building are just around the corner. A wide range of cafes and restaurants can be found just around the block in every direction. Still, when you return home, you’ll be at your quiet hideaway. No sound from neighbors or busy streets. ( tickets are sold at booths in the arrival hall, you may want to buy a "strippencard" which one can use during your stay for buses and tramways)
From WTC take the escalators down and enter the underpass.
Change for tramline number 5 in direction Central Station.
Get off at "Ryksmuseum".
From there follow the tramway direction for 2 more blocks; you'll find Vossiusstraat right along the Vondelpark.
This trip should in all not take any longer than 40 minutes.
