The property also features a balcony, perfect for relaxing evening drinks soaking up the magnificient views of the Batota Nature reserve, Black Sea and Surrounding Hills.
The House is located in a walled Garden with Gated Driveway. It is in a peaceful village away from te hussle and bussle yet only 5 minutes drivve from the resorts of Albena and Kranevo, with their long sandy Blue Flag Beaches.
Area Details
Two bedroom villa built to a classic style. Quiet yet very friendly village located 5km from the wonderful resort of Albena. The village known locally as the Beverly Hills of the Black Sea coast.
You can enjoy walking in the hills on which the village sits.
The area has many good restaurants that serve fantastic food and wine that is varied and inexpensive.
Whilst Excursions are available in Albena, you can really explore the area with a car hired from a local, trusted and well used company.
With a short drive from the house you can reach:
+ Albena: a gem of a resort on the Black Sea. It has international facilities, spa complex restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. The sporting facilities are not only excellent but they also suit a wide variety of tastes. What makes Albena stand out in Europe is that it is carefully managed and controlled. As a consequence the resort is immaculately clean with fantastic gardens all set in a safe environment. (5 mins)
+ Kranevo: a more traditional, yet smaller resort in the bay. Here you can taste many cuisines in the wide variety of restaurants which benefit from the lack of package tours to the resort. (3 mins)
+ Golden Sands: A purpose built resort that allows you to enjoy the wilder aspect of your personality. (10 mins)
+ Golden Sands National Park: Get away from the sun and enjoy the flora and fauna with walks from simple to steep to be enjoyed! Also includes the Alhazdra Rock Monastery. (12 mins)
+ Varna: visit the city of Varna, Bulgaria's cosmopolitan capital of the Black Sea Coast. Here you will find shopping, parks, museums, churches, all set in wide tree lined boulevards allowing for a fantastic cafe culture to suit all tastes. (30 mins)
+Balchik: a pretty fishing village located to the north of Albena. As you would expect in such a village there is a fantastic variety of sea food and local cuisine here. You can enjoy the Botanical Gardens where the once Queen of Romania had her summer palace when this part of the country was part of Romania in the inter-war years. Balchik is the perfect place to enjoy a meal outside overlooking the bay enjoying the delightful sunsets over the hills beyond Albena. (10 mins)
Further Sights Include:
+ North Black Sea Coast: you can get away from it all up here. There are quaint villages untouched by tourism. Here you can see Bulgaria of past. From small complexes built for people’s holidays in the 70's to farming village on this fertile plain. The whole area has marvellous opportunities to enjoy the wildlife in this unspoilt habitat.
+ Nessebar: UNESCO heritage site. Traditional fishing village with wooden houses and many alleyways to explore.
+ Stone Forest: geological formations near Lake Varna, a place steeped in vampire legends.
+Dobrich: Municipal town: want to see a Bulgaria pre 1990 then head here.
+Danube: Visit this mighty river in Silstra.
Or just sit in the garden after dark. Keep an eye out for fireflies. Listen to the cicadas, frogs, cuckoos, and if you dare the wolves in the forests overlooking the plain.
Bulgaria is a safe, cheap and very friendly country. You will be surprised at what it has to offer. An unusual mix of Mediterranean and Eastern Europe.
